As a dedicated Case Management Nurse at Providence Health Plan (PHP), David Adam embodies the essence of compassionate care and support for the vulnerable. For David, the best part of being a nurse is the level of trust and respect that comes with the role. To those considering a similar path, David offers this advice: embrace the challenge of helping others, even when it feels tough. In Case Management, it's about being there for people when they're struggling, sick, and in need of support. David also shared that at PHP, it's about more than just a job — it's about aligning with a mission-based organization that prioritizes the well-being of the poor and vulnerable. Since joining the organization, he's found a sense of purpose and fulfillment in knowing that his work directly contributes to making a difference in people's lives. We celebrate nurses like David's for their dedication to serving those in need! #NationalNursesWeek

Meet Jana Starr, one of the incredible nurses at Providence Health Plan (PHP). Jana sees nursing as a divine calling, bringing compassion and comfort to those in need. Her favorite part of being a RN Case Manager is the opportunity to be a blessing to others and make an impact on her members' lives. For aspiring nurses, Jana advises embracing advocacy and care, especially in RN Case Management. She says it's about breaking barriers and championing holistic wellness for every patient. Jana's joined Providence in 1999, and later moved to PHP in 2008 where she says she's found a home where her nursing journey intersects with a commitment to serving those in need. Let's celebrate Jana's dedication and the positive impact she, and other nurses bring to healthcare every day! #NationalNursesWeek

“If you're coming from the intent of access, affordability, quality, and experience for the members and the patients, and for the providers themselves, we're going to get to a better place.” – Providence Health Plan President and CEO Don Antonucci. Through close partnership, health plans can support providers as we work toward our common goal: easing the way for patients and helping them live healthier lives. Don discussed how it’s possible with #ValueBasedCare in a panel discussion with other industry experts at Becker's Healthcare 14th Annual Meeting.
